http://www.fotofach.de/ 238-240 http://www.fotofach.de/zoomobjektive-erfahrungsberichte/nikon-af-s-dx-zoom-nikkor-18-135-mm-f35-56-if-ed/ Quality-wise the Nikkor AF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 G IF-ED DX positioned itself between the AF-S 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G and the AF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G VR - just as you would/should expect it regarding the zoom range and complexity of design and there´s really nothing bad about it. The resolution figures alone are already pretty impressive and even more so when taking the rather extreme 7.5x zoom range into account. The center resolution is excellent throughout the range. As to be expected the border performance suffers a bit at 18mm and less so at 35mm but it´s still pretty good here. Resolution is a real strength of the lens. Typical for most dedicated APS-C zooms the vignetting figures aren´t quite as good - at 18mm and 135mm @ wide-open aperture the results are rather dismal to a degree where you may even call it under-designed - obviously a result of cost-cutting measure. At 18mm the lens also suffers a bit from rather hefty barrel distortions but this is quite typical for a lens in this class. CAs can be visible without being excessive although purple fringing can intensify the effect quite a bit in extreme contrast situations. The build quality of the lens is decent though Nikon has overdone it a little with the plastic mount. All-in-all a good consumer grade lens and maybe the current value king in Nikon land. Es deckt einen ziemlich großen Brennweitenbereich ab, die Lichtstärke ist ok.

Will man Objekte vorm Hintergrund freistellen und bedient sich zum Zweck der geringen Schärfentiefe der Offenblende, büßt man an Schärfe ein. Abgeblendet ab 8 ist es ziemlich scharf, der letzte Schliff fehlt trotzdem allen Bildern. Besonders, wenn das Hauptmotiv außerhalb der Bildmitte ist.

Vignettierung ist ein nicht zu unterschätzender Aspekt, der aber softwareseitig (Photoshop) zu beheben ist. Was mich persönlich etwas stört, ist der wackelige Tubus, der im Telebereich voll ausgefahren ziemliches Spiel hat. Blendenflecke bei Gegenlichtaufnahmen treten oft auf und sind mehr als störend.

Alles in allem aber eine gute Optik, wenn man die Schwächen kennt und sich damit arrangieren kann. ]]> Sat, 05 Apr 2008 14:14:52 +0200
